Rashi endings

These rules have been approved and applied. This page preserves the proposals for further review. Review whether the repeated ending can appear once in the Gemara font, after Rashi’s explanation.

Proposed rules: shorten a placed Rashi ending, or place a Rashi with no opening before its matching ending. Each needs at least two matching words within the linked passage and neighboring placements. Structural closing lines are excluded. For ה״ג, we now show the full Rashi without removing words. Rashi may be correcting an older text whose correction is already in our edition; a remaining difference may be a printing error. We do not decide which reading is canonical. That needs דעת תורה. These are candidates, not verified corrections.
